For the longest time, tube amplifiers, especially for bass, used to be massive, heavy - sometimes nearly impossible to carry while also being prone to failure. For that reason, most manufacturers seem to have abandoned the concept of all-tube bass amplifiers altogether and instead moved on to developing lighter and lighter digital amplifiers. Sadly however, sound quality and genuine power output are often compromised in the effort to cut an amplifier's weight down into the sub-kilogram numbers.

But, what if there was actually a way to significantly reduce the weight of all-tube amplifiers without compromising on the quality of the components, the build, or the sound?

The outside of the B100 only tells part of the story. The "secret" behind its stellar tonal definition, headroom, and dynamic range lies in the parts that its made of. Pristine new-old-stock preamp tubes make sure that the preamp sounds stunningly transparent while making your tone feel more alive and three-dimensional.

The supersized toroidal power transformer along with the handmade output transformer and KT120 power amp tubes give the B100 its enormous dynamic range and ensure that you'll get every single one of the B100's 100 Watts of output power. Another handy feature of our output transformer is that it lets you take full advantage of the amp's power at any impedance.
